BIO
I was employed as a motorcycle mechanic
for several years at a dealership in the mid-seventies
before attending aviation technical school. There, I earned
an Associate Degree in Aviation Technology along with both
Airframe & Power Plant Certificates. I spent the next
three years with Pratt & Whitney’s Aircraft Research
& Development Center building prototype fighter engines.
Subsequently I was employed in the airline industry where I
spent twenty-one years as a Lead Aircraft Technician. The
first several years were in the hangars, maintaining Boeing,
McDonald Douglas and Airbus commercial jets. The remaining
years were split between engine build, hydraulics and pneumatic
shops.
I have
repaired, restored, and customized motorcycles during this
30-year period. I have incorporated materials, hardware, and
techniques from the aviation field into my custom cycles.
During this time, I have acquired the tools and skills
needed to complete any job from a minor motorcycle tune-up
to a complete restoration.
